About Us

Marjorie Perry

Hello, my name is Marjorie Perry. I am team captain of Team Marj@Large. I was diagnosed with MS April of 2005. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Not that long ago, I was an avid adventure and fitness enthusiast. I began developing strange symptoms such as double/blurred vision, severe fatigue, numbness and tingling in my extremities, loss of balance, decreased cognitive abilities and loss of mobility in my right leg.

Despite my physical limitations I still ride a bike. I've had to adjust my attitude in cycling and exercising. Team Marj@Large is dedicated to riding for those who are unable to ride a bike today or live daily with the possibility that the disease may rob them of their future mobility.

We have a great group of friends and family supporting our team. We're committed to having a great time for an important cause. Our teammates, of all ages and abilities also enjoy the challenge! Crossing the finish line is great accomplishment! Won't you join us?
