UGA Article featuring Team Marj@Large Marjorie Perry Hello, my name is Marjorie Perry. I am team captain of Team Marj@Large. I was diagnosed with MS April of 2005. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Not that long ago, I was an avid adventure and fitness enthusiast. I began developing strange symptoms such as double/blurred vision, severe fatigue, numbness and tingling in my extremities, loss of balance, decreased cognitive abilities and loss of mobility in my right leg. Despite my physical limitations I still ride a bike. I've had to adjust my attitude in cycling and exercising. Team Marj@Large is dedicated to riding for those who are unable to ride a bike today or live daily with the possibility that the disease may rob them of their future mobility. We have a great group of friends and family supporting our team. We're committed to having a great time for an important cause. Our teammates, of all ages and abilities also enjoy the challenge! Crossing the finish line is great accomplishment! Won't you join us? 2006 Summary 2007 Summary
